U.S. District Judge Susan Illston is considering a request from NTEU and seven other unions for a preliminary injunction to continue blocking reductions-in-force for the employees they represent.
The temporary restraining order she already issued expires Oct. 29, so the longer injunction is needed to extend the protection.
